CopingDon't think about it.  That's the only way I can cope.  

Enter the doctor.  Her words are drowned out by my ears.  I try not to hear.

Noon passes.  I sit still, silently.  No one attempts to comfort me, for I am alone in my mind.

In four hours, I try to move, but where can I?

At last, I open my mouth for dinner.  The chicken is tasteless.

Looming over me, Death awaits.  I close my eyes, attempting to block It out, fruitlessly.  But the last light in my room flickers off as my life sparks out.
