I always love these types of shots. Something about the moon is just so haunting and wonderful. The contrast between the moon and sky is wonderful, makes this photo really pop out. I like the details you see on the moon, but it seems to be a bit soft around the edges. I also wish this photo was a bit different, there are many moon shots out there that are very similar. I would also suggest trying to stay away from the center composition and try to use the rule of thirds a bit more. Overall, it's a very nice shot.
Thank you for the critique! Great points, too. When the summer moon comes out again, I'm definitely going to be experimenting with a lot of different types of moon shots. (hopefully they can be even more detailed and have better composition)
I love how crisp this image is, the contrast between the moon and the night sky is great. Also, the centering of the moon is very well done and really frames it. I only wish there was a larger size so that I could see all the details and craters !
How lovely. I really like the focus on this. The lighting is great too.
however, I think zooming in here would increase the dynamics. And shifting the moon over left as you do so, that way you still keep an interesting composition.
Ah, well, that's my camera's limit. This is actually cropped from a much more zoomed out photo. I'm using a Canon rebel, not exactly the best telescope
I'm thinking about re-doing the shot (whenever the moon's out) with a better angle.
Again, thank you very much!

Maybe crop with the moon slightly to the left?
Sounds exciting.
