My first photomanipulation ever! :excited: It's just a test, to see what I can do. I don't really have Photoshop, so I improvise with Photoscape and Paint.NET.

Hope you enjoy!

I actually really like this... the contrast of the landscape areas almost makes it look like a traditional block print piece, while the moon snaps you back to the reality that this is a photo.

Thanks! (It's just a start. I still have to figure out more of Photoshop's deeper uses. :giggle:)

Welcome :)

Have you tried Gimp? [link] it's free and many deviants use this program for photomanips

I have been thinking of switching from Photoshop Elements to Gimp. Photoshop Elements updates every year, but you have to pay for the updates each year  and I want to learn more about photomanipulation too :#1:

I've always had a hard time figuring out the Gimp interface, it was always buggy on my computer. Though now that you mention, I should try to work with it. :)

I don't generally have much access to PS, because it's on a computer my brother owns. (he's pretty stingy about letting anyone else go on it, too :giggle:)

So, I'll try out Gimp. I think I already have it installed on this computer, so I'll give it a go.
