First of all, I have to say that I love conceptual photography. This is a great example, and the title of the deviation really plays a huge role in the piece.
I like the macro aspect to the photo with the depth-of-field. However, the bad part to that is that the noise in the picture was increased. Normally, this wouldn't be much of a problem, but the black and white makes it pop a little more. To help with this, I think increasing the lightning in the room would definitely help. Also, if you are taking the pictures with a manual setting, decreasing the ISO should help, too.
I just noticed that it was in B&W. Funnily enough, I don't remember setting it that way, because I remember the cool blue background. I must have accidentally turned it on. If I find the original photo, I'll leave it to its original coloring, and re-upload it.
At first glance I thought it was Arabic, but it didn't have the same type of curves as Arabic did (one benefit of being in Saudi Arabia for a while), so figured it had to be something like Yiddish, Hebrew would have been another choice.
And Tikkun, could I ask if that's a term meaning "holy texts?"

I hope this helps you!

Thanks for the tips!
I hope I can see the original colour.
